Welcome to August at Meadow Path

August is one of our favorite times of year. The gardens are flourishing, the trail is alive with birds and butterflies, and the warm weather and sunshine invite us outdoors to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect—with ourselves, with nature, and with one another.

This month is especially exciting as we prepare for our Open House on Saturday, August 15, from 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Whether you’re a longtime friend of the Center or have never visited before, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore everything Meadow Path has to offer.

Enjoy free mini yoga, tai chi gung, and  healing arts demonstrations, outdoor wellness experiences, giveaways, and more. Invite a friend, bring your family, and help us spread the word! We hope you’ll join us for a day of wellness, connection, and community.

We’re also happy to share a few more improvements around the Center. Thanks to the Six Town Community Fund grant generously awarded by the Northern New York Community Foundation, we’ve recently completed new sturdy handrails, making our entrance safer and more welcoming for everyone. Every improvement, large or small, helps us continue preserving our Center and creating a space where we can gather, learn, heal, and grow.

🌿 Quick Wellness Tip: Don’t Wait Until You’re Thirsty

As we age, our sense of thirst naturally decreases, making it easier to become mildly dehydrated—especially during the summer. Even slight dehydration can contribute to fatigue, headaches, dizziness, and reduced concentration.

Try keeping a water bottle where you’ll see it often, or pair drinking a glass of water with daily habits like meals or taking medications. Adding a slice of lemon, cucumber, or fresh mint can make hydration more enjoyable.

Small, consistent sips throughout the day are often more effective than trying to drink several glasses at once.

Now, here’s what’s happening at Meadow Path this month…

Upcoming Classes and Events

View the Calendar  for full class and event descriptions, schedules, and registration information. Simply click the name of a class or event on the calendar, then select “Read More.”

Our indoor classes have limited space, so we encourage you to register in advance so we can reserve your spot and notify you if there is a schedule change.

Drop-ins are always welcome when space is available. Before heading out, we recommend calling the Center or checking our Facebook page for any last-minute schedule changes. If you’re not on Facebook, you can still view our latest Facebook posts in the footer of the Meadow Path website homepage.
